Baked Rib-Eye Steak – Crispy, tender and delicious rib-eye steaks seared in a cast iron skillet and finished in the oven. This is how you cook a tender rib-eye steak in the oven!

You can also use New York steak in this recipe if you prefer. Grilling steaks in a cast iron skillet before baking gives them a crusty exterior and very flavorful flavour.

Serve steak with creamy mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, vegetables, side salad, and more. We were served hot roast potatoes and caesar salad with garlic bread. I’ll be linking some of my favorite side dishes to bring to you with this recipe below.

This recipe calls for two large steaks of rib eye, about a pound each. So this recipe serves about four people. If you’re cooking for a big crowd, just double the recipe.


°3 ribs
°1 teaspoon salt for the base steak flavor, 1/2 tablespoon for the zest mixture, extra for the mushrooms, plus 1 teaspoon for the cream sauce
°2 teaspoons of black pepper, add to the mushrooms, plus 1 teaspoon of the cream sauce
°2 teaspoons of garlic powder
°2 teaspoons of paprika
°Whole mushrooms, as needed for serving
°Olive oil to season the mushrooms
°1 cup heavy cream
°1 teaspoon lemon juice
°1/3 cup of mozzarella cheddar cheese
°1 tablespoon of margarine.
