SMOKED SAUSAGE CASSEROLE WITH POTATOES AND CHEESE

This smoked sausage casserole is a delicious one-dish dinner that requires very little prep. Loaded with fries, cheese, sour cream, onions, and kielbasa. A recipe that only requires pouring the ingredients into a pan and baking in the oven takes all the hassle out of cooking dinner.

The warm, comforting meal of smoked sausage, mashed potatoes, sour cream, onions and cheddar cheese has no other name I can think of that I like more. It’s so relaxing, rich and so simple! Dinners that you bake and cook require very little prep. Simply combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, stirring, then bake the mixture in the oven. It’s the perfect meal for hectic weekdays when you just want meat and potatoes, or you can turn it into a hearty breakfast dish by omitting the eggs.

If you’re a person, like me, who doesn’t prefer to spend all your free time in the kitchen, then the recipe I’m going to share with you today is perfect for you! It’s a simple pot that you pour everything into and cook, and it tastes like a huge warm hug! There is no need to precook the meat, there is no need to precook the potatoes, and there is no need to stand over the hot stove and flip aimlessly.

Alternatively, simply mix all the ingredients together and spread them out in a pan. It won’t take more than ten minutes and the oven will do the rest for you.

°A large piece of frozen grated potatoes.
°Medium kg of fully cooked Polish sausage.
°1½ c grated cheddar cheese.
°1 cup sour cream at room temperature.
°Medium sized onion.
°Half a cup of melted butter.
°Half a teaspoon of black pepper.
°¼ teaspoon kosher salt.
°1 can of condensed cream of chicken.
°Optional garnish: chopped fresh herbs or sliced green onions
