Teriyaki Party Wings
– 3 tbsp corn starch slurry
– 2 tsp minced ginger
– 4 cloves minced garlic
– 1 tbsp sesame oil
– Toasted sesame seeds (optional)
– 1 cup brown sugar (sprinkled on top)
– 1/2 cup honey (drizzled on top)
– 1 stick butter (cut into pats and placed on top)
Directions:
1. Preheat your smoker or oven to 250Β°F (120Β°C).
2. Remove the membrane from the ribs (if using wings, this step can be skipped) and cut into individual pieces.
3. Season generously with the rub.
4. Place the ribs (or wings) on the smoker for around 90 minutes at 250Β°F, aiming for an internal temperature of 165Β°F.
5. While the ribs/wings are smoking, prepare the teriyaki sauce. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, honey, and rice vinegar. Warm on low until the sugar is dissolved.
6. Add minced garlic and ginger to the sauce. Bring to a low simmer for a few minutes, then add the corn starch slurry. Stir well and remove from heat.
7. Add sesame oil to the sauce, stir, and allow it to thicken.
8. Transfer the ribs/wings to an aluminum pan and pour the teriyaki sauce over them.
