Ingredients
6 boneless pork chops (bone-in can be used, but cook time will vary)
4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup milk
1 packet French onion soup mix
1 can of cream of onion soup
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare
Preheat Your Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
Season and Sear the Pork Chops:
Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Sear the pork chops on both sides until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Soup Mixture
Mix the Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, combine the cream of onion soup, French onion soup mix, and milk.
Stir until well combined.
Step 3: Assemble the Casserole
Layer the Potatoes:
Arrange the sliced potatoes evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Add the Pork Chops:
Place the seared pork chops on top of the potatoes.
