We’ve opted for a 8×8 size dish in this recipe and one tube of crescent roll dough which will give you 8 rolls. If you’re feeding a bigger crowd for the holidays or family gathering, it’s an easy recipe to double and bake up in a 9×13 instead. These definitely make for a delicious Christmas morning treat. Keep in mind that they’re delicious so many people will want to go back for seconds. Can’t blame them for that!
If you’ve ever made the similar apple or peach dumplings then you’ll be familiar with the assembly process here. You’ll place a cube of cream cream and a spoonful of the pecan mixture on the wide end of the crescent roll. Roll the dough around the filling and then place each roll in your baking dish. Once the assembly is complete, you’ll pour melted butter remaining sugar pecan mixture over the top. The last step will be to pour some cream soda between the rolls and then they’re ready to bake. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
