OLD FASHIONED SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE

Cream together sugar and butter, add egg yolks one at a time; beat well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, lemon juice and sour cream. In a separate bowl, sift the sifted flour, salt and soda. Adding sift dry ingredients to batter; whisk well. In bowl, beating egg white to they to stiff peaks. Fold egg white to cake batter. Pour into a greased and floured tube or tube pan and bake at 300° for about 1-1/2 hours or until cake tests are done
Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan
