Long John Silver’s Batter Recipe

Cut your cod or white fish into pieces, about 3 ounces each. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture, which helps the batter adhere better.
5️⃣ Coat the Fish:
Dip the fish pieces into the batter, making sure they’re fully coated. Gently shake off any excess batter to avoid clumping.
6️⃣ Fry the Fish:
Carefully lower the battered fish pieces into the hot oil, one at a time. Fry the fish for about 2-3 minutes, or until the batter turns golden brown and the fish floats to the surface. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your fryer or pot.
7️⃣ Drain and Serve:
Once fried, remove the fish from the oil and let them drain on a wire rack to keep them crispy. You can also place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any extra oil.
8️⃣ Serve:
