Long John Silver’s Batter Recipe
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
16 ounces club soda
2 pounds cod or white fish (cut into 3-ounce pieces)
Cooking Instructions:

Preheat 8 cups of vegetable oil in a fryer or large, heavy pot to 350°F. Use a deep-fry thermometer to make sure the temperature is accurate.
