Jalapeno Popper Turkey Burgers 


– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 4 whole wheat burger buns
– Lettuce leaves, for serving
– Sliced tomatoes, for serving
– Avocado slices, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mixture:
– In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapenos, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
– Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
2. Form the Patties:
– Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick.
3. Cook the Patties:
– Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease the surface if necessary.
– Cook the turkey patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
4. Toast the Buns:
– If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
