1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
Cook the pastaΒ according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Cook the Sausage and Shrimp:
In a large skillet, heat olive oilΒ over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausageΒ and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
Add the shrimpΒ to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove both the shrimp and sausage from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Cajun Cream Sauce:
In the same skillet, add chopped onion , garlic , and red bell pepper . SautΓ© for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Pour in the heavy creamΒ and chicken broth , stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer over medium heat
Stir in Cajun seasoning , smoked paprika , garlic powderΒ onion powder , and salt and pepperΒ to taste. Let the sauce simmer for 5-6 minutes until it thickens slightly.
