Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Galaxy Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line two cake pans.
Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
In a bowl, whisk sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually mix in dry ingredients, then add buttermilk and hot water.
Divide the batter into pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
For the frosting, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and heavy cream to create a fluffy consistency.
Layer the cakes with frosting and chopped peanut butter cups in between.
For the galaxy effect, divide the remaining frosting, add food coloring, and swirl the colors together on top.
Decorate with extra peanut butter cups and serve!
Notes:
Add edible glitter for a cosmic touch!
