Chocolate Orange Loaf CakeΒ 


1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Zest of 1 orange
1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a loaf pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and vegetable oil. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract, orange zest, orange juice, and buttermilk.
Combine Mixtures:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
