Cheddar Bacon Cheese RollsΒ 


– 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
– 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
– 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
For the Glaze:
– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
2. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
5. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a large rectangle.
6. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with cheddar cheese, bacon, and chives.
7. Roll up the dough tightly from the long side and cut into 12 equal pieces.
8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
9. Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
