Blackberry Cheesecake Brownies


1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
For the Cheesecake Layer:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Blackberry Swirl:
1/4 cup blackberry preserves
Fresh blackberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, 1 cup of sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until well blended.
Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir gently until just combined; avoid overmixing!
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1/4 cup of sugar, egg, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla until smooth and creamy.
Spoon dollops of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer. Use a butter knife to swirl the two layers together gently.
Warm the blackberry preserves slightly in the microwave. Drizzle the preserves over the cheesecake layer and create a marbled effect by swirling with a knife.
