BBQ Chicken Grilled Cheese Melt
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 cup BBQ sauce
– 12 slices Havarti cheese
– 1/4 cup butter
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced
– 12 slices sourdough bread
Directions
1. Prepare the BBQ Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. SautΓ© the sliced onion until softened, about 2 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, until fragrant. Stir in shredded chicken, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and BBQ sauce, mixing well. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through, then set aside.
2. Make the Garlic Butter: In a medium bowl, combine butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Microwave briefly until melted, then stir to combine. Spread this mixture over one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
3. Assemble the Sandwiches: Lay 6 slices of bread buttered-side down. Layer each slice with Havarti cheese, followed by a portion of the BBQ chicken mixture, and then another slice of cheese. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.
