1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
1/4 cup caramel sauce
Vanilla ice cream for serving
Maple syrup for drizzling

Wash and core the apples, leaving the bottom intact. If necessary, slice a small portion off the bottom for stability.
