Powdered sugar and baking soda: Put about one glass of each into a basin and mix them together. Put the mix in mugs and keep them in the kitchen or another warm, damp place. Cockroaches are drawn to sugar, and baking soda kills them if they eat it.
This substance, called diatomaceous earth, naturally kills pests. Put it on different dishes and put them in places where cockroaches are likely to be. Add some sugar on top to make them want to eat it. Put the slices of cucumber on a platter. In fact, this vegetable does a great job of keeping bugs away.
One tablespoon of boric acid should be mixed with one tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk. Make a leg shape and cut it into several cups that you can put into the cockroachesβ holes. Do not be afraid to do it again in three weeks, or sooner if needed, to get rid of the second generation of bugs.
Lemon eucalyptus essential oil: To get rid of cockroaches that are just starting to show up, put a few drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil on some newspaper. Put them where cockroaches like to hang out.
Lavender essential oil: Put five to ten drops of 100% pure lavender essential oil on small pieces of cotton. Put them everywhere, but especially in your cabinets, and use them again every day. Use white vinegar on the bases of walls, under furniture, behind sinks, and anywhere else cockroaches like to hang out. They run away quickly because of the smell.
