Apple Crisp

You can’t let fall pass you by without making this homemade Apple Crisp at least once! I make sure the apples are perfectly spiced with cinnamon and sugar and then top it off with loads of topping! No skimping on the apple crisp topping here. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ingredient Notes:

For the filling:
Apples – You’ll need some peeled and sliced apples. I prefer to use tart apples like Granny Smith for baking. They pair well with all the added sugar in the filling and topping. Jonagold, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn are all excellent choices too!

Dry Ingredients – The filling for this apple crisp recipe is simple but tasty! All you’ll need is some all-purpose flour, white sugar, and ground cinnamon. That’ll get mixed up with the fresh sliced apples to make this easy filling.

What We Love About This Recipe:

This is a great way to enjoy fresh baked apples without making the usual apple pie.
The crumbly streusel topping is perfect and when you top it all with some vanilla ice cream it’s even better!
For the topping:
Oats & Flour – This easy streusel topping starts with a mix of oats and flour. This is what gives the topping that perfect crumbly, crispy texture!
